Paper Rock Scissors
Here’s a classic game adapted to our fitness purposes, working especially well as a free-for-all warm-up.
Game: If you’re not familiar with the basic rules of Paper, Rock, Scissors (AKA Ro-Sham-Bo) then check out this simple guide. The game is done as a free-for-all with the goal for each participant being to score X number of points before someone else does. Upon go, each person will engage in one-on-one battle with any other participant. The winner gets a point and can move to the next battle, whereas the loser has to do a warm-up exercise (15 jumping jacks, for example). The players keep matching up and battling again and again with others as fast as possible. Once someone reaches the predetermined goal score, they win.
- Squat Party: Each participant does a squat for each count of the battle (i.e. 3, 2, 1, Shoot!)
- Tie Die: Any time the players tie (ie: both play rock…) they both drop and do a burpee before continuing.
