Top 4 Fitness Boot Camp Warm Up Games

Top 4 Fitness Boot Camp Warm Up Games

Here are my 4 favorite games for using as a warm-up to my fitness boot camp classes…

1. Touch Wrestling.  Get clients shifting and moving around by trying to tag opponents while trying to avoid being tagged.  Also, a game with this much touching is best at the beginning of class, when everybody isn’t all sweaty!

2. Squat Tag. Have to include a a tag game when we’re talking about warm-ups.  There are many good tag game-types out there, and this is one of the best.

3. Copy Cat. Pair (or group) players up and have one person complete a series of varied warm-up moves of their choice as fast as possible, while the other(s) tries to copy the movements exactly, without getting too far behind.  Switch roles every minute or so.  Doesn’t take long to get the blood pumping!

4. Hoarder.  A game that can be adapted to many purposes, it also works great when you limit the exercises that can be performed to warm-up style only (ie: jumping jack, air squats, mountain climbers, etc…)

***BONUS GAME: Cone Up Cone Down. Throw out some cones and start flipping!  2 Even teams compete to knock cones over or set them upright.  Check out the Cone Head game variation, too!
